Collected and (occasionally) composed

Several of this author’s points are well-made.  As I know many of my Tumblr friends agree, we got where we are through hard work PLUS natural advantages which we did nothing to earn (in various proportions, but still…)  I am not in favor of many of Occupy Wall Streets’ solutions (some are ridiculously flawed), but I do agree that public policy should address inequality through bringing everyone up to some baseline level of having a chance to succeed (are we seriously cutting WIC? Pell grants?), and having some iota of the support system that most of us take for granted…
